its amazing how getting off your ass and creating a little adventure turns life around. last week i actually went to last thursday. for those of you that don't know, its this ridiculous art event that takes place on my street. there are people on stilts and fire dancers. other people are selling "art" most of which is used junk. the restaurants and bars are crowded and yuppies drive in from beaverton to explore the depths of inner north east portland; it used to be the bad part of town.
anyways! just leaving the house led to crazy boys, motorcycle rides and dance parties. this weekend I kept the good times rolling with perogies at the polish festival, a capitalist casualties show in my basement and cooking the best vegan mac 'n' cheese ever!!!
i'm determined to keep loving portland. I need this right now, trust me.
i also really like 90 degree weather the end of september. tomorrow i am determined to eat the fuck out of some eggs benedict. |

so my rear wheel on my bike was stolen last night. i am seriously kicking myself becuase i left the bike out when i knew i should have brought it inside. now i'm out $265 on a new wheel set, casette, tire and tube.

I am at work. I am not working. My co worker, we'll call her Malinda, is filling her time with bullshit even though nobody is watching. I don't care because she is a terrible, terrible person. I am okay with my extended internet usage as opposed to work.
Just to explain how terrible Malinda is: The other day she asks,"What's a normal human heart rate?" She uses this breathy, seductive sexual voice all the time. I can't recount the exact setting, but she was probably bending over provocatively filling buckets as she likes to do.
Someone replied, "I dunno, 80 or 85 per minute, why?"
"Oh," malinda sighs, sounding somewhat disapointed. "I guess my heart rate is normal than. I just thought that small things were supposed to have faster heart rates, so I figured mine was above average."
Malinda likes to talk about how tiny she is, and how she used to be a gymnast.
My response was something snide along the line of "Yeah, small things like chihuahuas and rats!"
I am going to pull my hair out. |

what am i doing?
i live in this amazing place with tons of people i love. i don't feel like i'm truly taking advantage of any of it anymore. i hate that its become these people this place same old same old.
i need a change of scenery. wanna go south anyone? i'm thining souther utah. other than the beer thing its not as bad as one would think. |

but i'm sitting here reading about how all my friends are so excited that spring has sprung and i'm looking out at a another dreary portland day. drizzly, misty, half ass rainy shit.
i guess this weekend its supposed to get nice, but i'll believe it when i see it. |

so i am home from costa rica. it was amazing. portland is nice though.
i however managed to soak my cell phone in beer. it is no more. if you want me to have your number i suggest you post a comment with it.
hopefully verizon wont rip me off too hard today.

so its funny that my last post was nothing but pure excitment about my new house. i still love my house, but it has caused nothing but problems.
1. it is now in forclosure because our landlord hasn't paid the mortgage. this means we may have to move out come june. that is much sooner than i wanted.
2. we have a 200 dollar electric bill. wtf????
3. our cats eat condoms. its fucking sick. its mostly because the owner of the cats is irresponsible and doesn't feed them regularly. they also have flees.
4. the dog pisses and shits on the floor regularly.
bleh. 6 people may be to many, but i love them all so much!
in other news with my life:
-i have this amazing person in my life who cooks me the best tofu scramble ever and tells me i'm beautiful. he fixes my bike and does crossword puzzles with me. we've had mutual crushes since i moved here and its amazing how it all is working out.
-i am a really good floral designer
-all my friends get to come work with me for valentines day
-al vukonich is going to be here really really soon.
-i go to costa rica really really soon!
-dru visted and we got best friend tattoos. pictures to be posted soon! |
